Laura began surfing at 17 years, falling in love with the beach culture. After consistent athletic training, she hit the limelight as a pro surfer, achieving sponsorship with giant surf company, Billabong. She later transitioned from competition to free-surfing and began carving out a career in modelling.
During Laura’s surf and modeling commitments, she graduated from Wollongong University with a Bachelor of Education, majoring as a Secondary PDHPE Teacher.
Laura rapidly gained success in Modeling and fronted iconic campaigns and a plethora of TV commercials. Soon after, she began TV presenting and acting, studying in Los Angeles to hone her craft, before jetting off to the Maldives to produce her anticipated book.
In 2013, Laura launched ‘The Ride Of Life’, an empowering and inspirational learn to surf book. She used surfing as a metaphor, encouraging people to stand up for themselves, both in and out of the water. Her school tour inspired many students to go out and reach their true potential. Laura’s natural ease in building a rapport with the younger generation is a testament to her ability to connect and make a positive impact. The Ride Of Life was successfully received across TV screens, magazines, online and social media. Laura appeared on Channel 10 – Studio 10; Channel 9 – Today; Channel 7 – Sydney Weekender; and Foxtel’s – The Disney Channel.
Laura continues to grace our screens, billboards, and pages. Some iconic campaigns include Tourism Australia, Qantas, Sunsilk, Pantene, Mitsubsihi, Holden, Olay, Nature’s Way, Centrum, Vida Glow, Clearasil, Lük Beautifood, David Jones, Rebel Sport, A2 Milk, Subaru, Harvey Norman, Lendlease, Scholl, Telstra, Breville, HSBC, Faer, McDonald Homes, Suzanne Grae, Noni B, Sekisui, Angus and Coot, Model Co, ESK Skincare, Black Pepper, and Westfield.
Laura’s passion for health and wellbeing grew since having children. She furthered her studies, graduating from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. As a Holistic Health Practitioner, Laura helps clients reach health and vitality by addressing the root cause of dis-ease. Laura is the founder and director of Heal Your Health, a platform which empowers women to reclaim their health from autoimmune conditions and other health ailments.
